Airport Shuttle Services was founded as part of the Waggie Group in 1979, beginning with private vehicle hire and airport runs in and around Brisbane.
In an era before apps or online booking, the business built its reputation the old-fashioned way — showing up on time, every time, and treating passengers the way you'd want to be treated after a long flight.
Over four decades the network expanded steadily. Queensland came first — Brisbane Domestic, International, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Cairns. Then interstate: Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide. The Waggie Group grew alongside the transfer business, adding coach charter, tour operations and specialty services. Today the group encompasses a network of partner businesses — from luxury sedans to 57-seat coaches — all coordinated under one booking system with one standard of service.
We're still based at 1366 Kingsford Smith Drive, Pinkenba QLD 4008 — minutes from the airport we started serving in 1979.
